Civil PE Exam breadth reference materials and books

All of these references are an absolute must. I recommend bringing all exam references listed below.

1. Civil Engineering Reference Manual, Lindeburg a.k.a the CERM

2. Practice Problems for the Civil Engineering Exam, Lindeburg

3. Principles and Practices of Engineering Civil Sample Questions and Solutions, NCEES

4. Your review course notes. I reccommend PE Pro School. It is the best value for the money.

5. Civil PE Sample Examination, Lindeburg.

This is just the short must have's. I will post another thread on supplemental items.

What to do the day before your PE Exam?

The first thing is to relax! You have done all that you can by this point. Do not spend any energy that you will need worrying about something you may have missed. You are not going to increase your passing rate by cramming. You'll need the rest for a long day of sitting and test taking.

What you need to do is:

1.Make sure you have your PE Examinee Authorization Letter. (pretty pointless to go if you can't get in!)

2. Make sure all your PE Exam references are tabbed ,sorted, and boxed. Important!!!!

3. Make sure you have your lunch packed. You will want to relax during this much needed break. and not worry about food or lines or correct change etc...

4. Get a good nights rest.

There is no secret to the day before the exam. You just need to relax, stay calm and you will pass the pe exam.

Good luck!
